Christmas in Petersburg

During your visit to all the activities in Christmas in Petersburg on December 2 and 3rd- Don't Forget to Stop at the Winery and continue the holiday spirit. Open until 5:30 on Friday and Noon to 5:30 on Saturday.

Events are listed below for Christmas in Petersburg
Friday night- caroling and tree lighting in the square with Cookies and coco will provided as well. Stop into Santa's work shop to visit with Santa.
Saturday- Events start as early as 8am with craft shows and shopping. Make sure you take a walk through the Historical Society's beautiful tour of homes from 9am to 3pm (ticket sales available prior to and day of event). 11am to 2pm enjoy a relaxing horse drawn carriage ride and caroling through the downtown square (tickets available day of) as live Christmas music from local schools are played for your enjoyment.

Winery will be open from 12 to 8 and the television will be on for all interested fans.

Join us for the 2nd annual Foddershock Festival 11-7.  Celebrating the bounty of the harvest.  Music from 12-6 with Taylor June,  Tom Irwin and the Roastineers.  Hand crafted West of Wise Illinois Wines from our vineyard- Ratio Vineyard in your very own Festival glass. Craft Beer from Hand of Fate, Timotheous Brothers and Rolling Meadows Brewery.  Local farm to table food from Lane's Farm and Cellar.  Pumpkins and gourds from Indian Creek Farmstead.  And a Cornhole/Bags tournament.  Advanced tickets (with a few incentives thrown in) can be purchased on Eventbrite.com

There is a $5.00 entry fee which includes a festival glass and 2 tastings.  Corn hole/Bags tournament has a $10 participation fee.

Summer Concert Series Featuring Square of the Roots

Join us for the last concert in the summer series.  Square of the Roots , which will be playing at 5:30 on Friday featuring Brian Steinhauer and his father, the Rev. Michael E. Steinhauer. The Square of the Roots is a father son pastime that has morphed into a full fledged original Americana band.  The Rev. Michael E. Steinhauer has sung folk songs and played guitar for over 5 decades.  His son Brian Steinhauer learned to play guitar with the help of his father and then went on to study classical guitar and obtained his BA in music at SIUC.  Upon returning home to Springfield the two fell back into their addiction of playing and creating music together.  

Lane's Farm and Cellar will be offering food for purchase from 5-7.  And the Winery with its award winning wine will be open beginning at noon.
